I love to knit but it is easy to run out of items to knit. If I need a table runner, pillow, or a decor item made from fabric, I always try to see if I can knit the item first. The weather is warming up and the flowers are starting to bloom. I am in the mood to decorate my home with some spring and Easter decor.
Garlands and banners are a great way to bring spring decor into your home. After searching for a carrot pattern, I ended up creating my own pattern. I used almost the same pattern that I use for my Knitted Christmas Trees and made them into carrots. This pattern is easy and quick to knit. After you knit the carrot, you stuff it and sew it up.
TIP: You can learn how to do most stitches by viewing videos on YouTube.
Listed are the items that I used for the knitted carrots pictured. You can always change the size of the needles to the size you desire. The yarn type and color can be changed for the look that you desire.
Supplies
Embroidery needle
Poli-fil (I used a cotton ball that I separated because the carrots are so small).

Stuff the knitted carrot with Poli-fil or separated cotton balls. Sew up the knitted carrot with yarn and an embroidery needle. Attach the carrot green leaves to the carrot with the embroidery needle.
If you are making a garland, tie carrots to twine or string.
Tip: If you turn your work around, you can see where two stitches were knitted together.
