When I first learned about the $100 Room Makeover Challenge, I knew exactly what room I would do. My powder room had not been updated in 10 years. The greenish gold paint needs to change. All the gold is gone in my house, and I am using gray and white colors now.

My hard drive recently crashed, and I lost all of my “before” pictures. I was lucky to find this picture of my powder room on my computer before I started painting , so I took a picture of it with my phone. It’s not the best quality as you can tell but you get the idea of what the bath looked liked before.

My plan for this room is to paint the vanity white, which I started painting last week. Because of my budget, I am keeping the granite sink top, and I am also keeping the faucet. I plan on painting the light fixture and the towel rack silver. I will be painting the walls a very light gray color. I am also thinking of doing some kind of wall treatment like wallpaper or stenciling but I need to see how I do with the budget first before I decide.

             Inspiration Board

To help keep my budget down, I will first try to find what I need at my favorite thrift stores.  I have a few weeks before the reveal to hopefully score some thrifted items.  I often see floating shelves there that need painting so maybe, I will get lucky. My plan is to see what I can find there first, so then I will know how much money I have left to spend. I will purchase the rug and the hand towels brand new online. I am so excited to start working on my Powder Room Makeover for the $100 Room Challenge. Don’t forget to check out the other blogger’s rooms below.

Plan for Powder Room

Paint bath gray

Paint vanity white

Spray paint hardware

Purchase new mirror

Purchase new shelves

Purchase rug

Hey Sherry! I am so excited to see what you do with this space. If there is anyone who can find what they need at a thrift store, you can! I bet something great will pop up!

Ooooh I love the rug you’ve chosen! That palette is cool and calming, but still with some fun to it.
