I still can’t believe that I was lucky enough to tour the HGTV Dream Home 2020 in Hilton Head, SC. My husband and I have been registering to win one of these Dream Homes for years, every day, and twice a day at that. You can register to win this beautiful HGTV Dream Home too.
Most of the photos were taken by myself unless otherwise noted.
I live in Alabama and the house is 6 hours away from me, when I received the invitation to tour the home, it was a no brainer. I have to go! I am fortunate enough to have another blogger from my city to ride with. We made it a girl’s trip and stayed in an Airbnb beach house with two other bloggers.
The Dream Home was designed by Brain Patrick Flynn who has designed many of the Dream Homes. He explained to us how he used a combination of colors, patterns, and design throughout the house. He also explained that the pictures of the house will be around for a long time so he kept that in mind while designing.
We were served a delicious brunch prepared by the chefs and there was anything you could want for brunch available.
Many of the rooms had a beautiful view out the back doors of the backyard and I thought the decor really worked well with the views.
The fireplace is made with seashells mixed with the mortar. The art above the fireplace was gorgeous and it was created by Kyle at Rustic Nail.
My favorite room in the house is the Master bedroom.

The peach and coral colors are a throwback from the 80’s and look gorgeous in the master which has the views of the backyard.
That headboard!
The peach color is also used in the Master Bath. I will be using one of these tubs in our master bath renovation that should be happening soon.
The tile was another one of my favorites. The tile is stunning and looks beautiful with the peach walls. The tile was used in the shower also.
The staircase had a canoe hanging on the wall and everyone loved it.
The upstairs had another sitting area with a TV which would be a great place to hang out during the day.
This bedroom would be perfect for guest and it also has a beautiful view.

The backyard was my favorite outdoor area of any home that I have toured. Who wouldn’t love to spend time here?
The night ended with an after-party at our beach house and these were a few of the last people to leave. I loved hanging out and talking about the Dream House and blogging. I will say that my trip to the Dream Home 2020 at Hilton Head was an amazing time and I am so grateful that I got to experience it. Seeing one of the HGTV Dream Homes was a bucket list experience.
You can visit the HGTV Dream Home site to see the products that were used throughout the house.
