It’s fall y’all and it is time to show you my fall home tour. The girls from No Place Like Home are showing you how we decorate our homes for fall. You will see some diy fall home projects, crafts, and décor purchased new. We hope you find some inspiration that you can use in your home this fall.

I love to decorate my home for fall but my plan for a fall decorating is much different than my plan for Christmas decorating. My fall home décor is very simple and to have small touches of Autumn. Now Christmas is a total different story. Let’s say I go all out!

Lets, start in the kitchen.

This knitted table runner can be made in a couple of hours. It is made with chunky yarn and large knitting needles. My husband and I just built this DIY zinc top table, and we are very proud of it. I used my thrifted dough bowl from last year and sat three large pumpkins in it. We decided to build a very large table because we host Thanksgiving and we have family over a lot.

This khttp:/TThis knitted table runner is made with bulky yarn and large knitting needles and is super easy to knit. Our table is 8 feet long and I could not find a table runner anywhere that would hang off the ends. I love the chunky knitted blankets that are so popular now so I decided to knit a table runner. The tutorial is available on the blog post. I think the runner looks so cozy for fall. It gives a great texture to the table without covering up my adored zinc table top.

Fall Home Tour I used some faux wood chargers, fall dishes, plaid napkins, and copper dollar store pumpkins for each place setting. Dollar store glasses were painted to make them look more elegant.

Dresser Makeover with Shutters

I placed some cotton stems in a dough bowl and set them on the chest that’s in my kitchen.

Fal Home Tour-Fall PillowsThe no-sew deer head pillow is for Southern Living and I made the diy pumpkin pillow with a kitchen towel. You can view the tutorial on this post.

I placed some fabric pumpkins that I made years ago, on a side table.

Sherry…I know you are so excited to host Thanksgiving around that GORGEOUS table! And it looks so great dressed up for fall with that way cool runner. Like you I channeled calm and neutral this year…must be the state of our world that makes us want to calm things down.
Your mantle is just so lovely…makes you want to sit down and just say ‘ahhhh….’ with a glass of wine of course.
Thanks for opening your beautiful home my friend.
    Many hugs, Lynn

That table is just so gorgeous Sherry! You should be very proud. It is the perfect backdrop for anything you could possibly wan to photograph there. That is the money shot! Your table runner is perfection, and I cannot believe you made it yourself! I am so jealous! I wished we live close so we could have some in person lessons ( that would be you teaching me of course!) Your home looks lovely, the soft colors are so pretty, great job!

Sherry, There are times I wish I knew how to knit so I could have a knitted table runner like yours. It’s gorgeous on top of your beautiful table. I really like the look of your mantel, with the simplicity and colors of those pumpkins. You did a great job, my friend, and I’m looking forward to your Christmas tour!

Thank you Carol! I learned to knit when I was little and it came right back to me, like riding a bicycle. I also enjoyed viewing your fall home.

Your zinc table has always been one of my favorites. The layering of the knitted runner and neutrals just makes it better. And love your mantel, too. You can send that round mirror to me any ole’ time. LOL… Happy Fall. ~~ Susie from Chelsea Project
