It’s fall ya’ll and it is time to show you my fall home tour. The girls from No Place Like Home are showing you how we decorate our homes for fall. You will see some diy fall home projects, crafts, and décor purchased new. We hope you find some inspiration that you can use in your home this fall.
I love to decorate my home for fall but my plan for a fall decorating is much different than my plan for Christmas decorating. I love for my fall home décor to be very simple and to have small touches of Autumn here and there. Now Christmas is a total different story. Let’s say I go all out!
Lets, start in the kitchen.
My husband and I just built this DIY zinc top table, and I am so proud of it that I didn’t want to cover it up with a tablecloth. I used my thrifted dough bowl from last year and sat three large pumpkins in it. I think the pumpkins look like they were made to sit in that dough bowl. My husband and I decided to build a very large table because we host Thanksgiving and we have family over a lot.
Our table is 8 feet long and I could not find a table runner anywhere that would hang off the ends. I love the chunky knitted blankets that are so popular now so I decided to knit a table runner. The tutorial is available on the blog post. I think the runner looks so cozy for fall and it gives great texture to the table without covering up my adored zinc table top.
I used some faux wood chargers, fall dishes, plaid napkins, and copper dollar store pumpkins for each place setting. I also painted the stems of some dollar store glasses to make them look more elegant.
I placed some cotton stems in a dough bowl and set them on the chest that’s in my kitchen.
I added a few neutral colored pumpkins to an old milk glass cake stand and I think it looks beautiful sitting on the white countertops.
I added some more neutral colored pumpkins into a box that I use with succulents in the summer.
I made both of these pillows last year. I made the no-sew deer head pillow for Southern Living and I made the diy pumpkin pillow with a kitchen towel using the same no-sew technique. You can view the tutorial on this post.
I placed some fabric pumpkins that I made years ago, on a side table. I just love the colors that are on the table.
I don’t know why I was drawn to purchasing soft colors in my fall décor but I didn’t purchase any golds or orange colored décor.
I love the pumpkins that I used on my mantel and I found them at Michaels.
I really am enjoying my home being decorated with soft fall colors. Don’t forget to look at the other girls homes and we really hope that you leave our homes inspired and ready to bring fall into your homes. Happy Fall Ya’ll!!
