This recipe for Easy Caramel Apple Dip only requires 2 ingrdients and it is delicious!

I find that I can spend hours preparing some dishes, but if I throw something in a dish with sour cream or cream cheese, everyone goes crazy over it.  This is one of those dishes.  I am gonna tell you, this dip is fabulous and only two ingredients! What is more perfect to eat in the fall than caramel and apples! This dip is perfect for game day or for any get together that you might have.

This 2 ingredient easy caramel apple dip is perfect for fall!

The bad thing with slicing apples to serve with a dip is that they turn brown so fast so it makes it difficult to prepare ahead of time.  Some people say using lemon juice but I think it changes the taste of the apples. Here is how to fix that problem and it works!

Slice your apples and place them in a bowl of cold water.  Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.  Let the apples stay in the water until you are ready to serve. The apples in this picture have been in the water for over an hour. If I am taking this dip with apples somewhere, I store the siced apples in a Tupperware bowl with the salted cold water and I dry the apples off right before serving.

This recipe for 2 ingredient Easy Caramel Apple Dip is so delicious!Mix 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with a 12-ounce jar of caramel ice cream topping in your stand mixer or in a bowl with a fork.  That is it!  Warning: You are probably going to be tempted to forget about the apples and eat this with a spoon!  Just warning you!

Hi Sherry, does the salt alter the taste of the apples? Can’t wait to try this!

Hi Barbara! It does not alter the taste of the apple at all! I learned this trick in Culinary School.

This recipe makes a lot of dip and I usually have leftover dip. I plan on about 6 slices of an apple per person (1/2 of the apple)and I would say it would serve at least 20 people.
