Making your own Christmas ornaments for the tree is fun and this DIY Wood Bead Christmas Tree Ornament is so easy. The ornament is simple enough for children to make. I made these ornaments as part of the Deck the Homes Christmas Challenge. You can visit the other ornaments at the bottom of this post.
I love the strands of wooden beads that are used as decor in the home. These beads look beautiful laying in a bowl on a coffee table. I purchased two of the strands from HomeGoods for $20. After I purchased mine, I saw people on Instagram make these beads out of old beaded car seat covers found at thrift stores. I headed to the thrift store and found one. I returned the $20 beads immediately.
After making one cut, the beads came apart easily. There are plenty of beads to make a number of things. I make strands for decor, strands for the mantle, and ornaments. If you can not find a car seat cover, you can purchase wood beads.
