I made a DIY Embroidery Hoop Wreath with some inexpensive embroidery hoops and a flower arrangement that I found at a thrift store. Not only is it fun to make something yourself, but you can also save so much money when you find the items for the project for only a few dollars.

I have to stop myself from making some DIY projects because I realize that it is going to cost me more than if I purchased the items brand new. This DIY Embroidery Hoop Wreath was one of those projects. I wanted to make three wreaths for Spring for my kitchen windows so I went to the craft store and purchased the flowers and spent $28. That doesn’t sound like much for three wreaths but I thought to myself that I probably could find some flowers that would work at the thrift store.

DIY Wreaths for my romantic table for Valentine's Day

The thrift store is only a few minutes from the craft store so I went straight there. I found this arrangement that had the succulents, hydrangeas, a few roses, and some greenery for $1.99. So I immediately returned the items from the craft store. Like I said, $28 is not a lot of money but the way I look at it is that it is $26 that I can spend somewhere else.

The project

The embroidery hoops are at home just waiting for a project. I pulled out the pieces of flowers from the arrangement that I want to use and I threw the rest away.

Wrapping the flowers onto the hoops with floral wire.

After attaching greenery with wire, randomly attach the flowers in the center.

I wanted each wreath to be a little different so I changed the placement of the flowers slightly.

What a beautiful inexpensive craft! I love these wreaths. I made some two Christmases ago with foliage from outside and loved the simplicity. I love how you did 3 too!

These are so lovely, and I’d do the exact same thing and return the more expensive flowers. I love how simple they are but so beautiful as a trio on your windows. I bet the person who donated them would wish they’d done the same beautiful repurpose.

Your embroidery hoop wreaths are beautiful and the fact that you recycled items to create them is amazing. They look so lovely hanging on your windows. Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle and I will be featuring your wreaths at the party this Saturday. Sharon@bluewillowhouse
