My favorite way to decorate for Christmas is to make my own holiday decorations. I am so happy with my DIY Dollar Store Snowflake Garland that I made for $2 and it looks beautiful. I used foam snowflakes and a car polishing cloth both found at my local Dollar Tree Store.

This craft is super easy so it is perfect for the kids to make. I love my snowflake garland because I made it myself. Kids will love to see some Christmas decorations in their home that they make themselves. You could make a garland using the foam Christmas trees or foam Christmas ornaments. Also, these snowflakes can be used all over your home. They can be used as ornaments on a tree or they would look beautiful hanging in a window. We still use decor that we have made over the years in our home. This is what makes Christmas memories.
I purchased my items from the Dollar Tree Store but you could find similar items at most craft stores.
Supplies
1 Car Cleaning Cloth or Furry Material
Wire or String
Twine or Beaded Garland to hang the Snowflakes on
How to Make the Snowflake Garland
- Apply glue to the back of the foam snowflake. I used fabric glue and it worked well.
2. Press the snowflake onto the material or cloth.
3. Sit a heavy object on the snowflake while the glue dries. I left mine overnight.
4. Once the glue has dried, cut out the snowflake.
5. Stick a piece of wire through the top of the snowflake and tie it onto the garland.
Making Christmas decor is so much fun and I look forward to doing it every Christmas. This DIY Dollar Store Snowflake Garland will be used in my home for many years.
